Lepe Beach, Hampshire.

A few photographs of a sunny Sunday morning stroll along Lepe Beach. The pictures show the remains of the strategic role Lepe played during the Normandy Landings in the second world war.

Lepe was a secret manufacturing site for parts of the temporary Mulberry Harbours erected for the invasion and was also used as an embarkation point for equipment and troops.
